1. Introduction
Welcome to the Digital Banking Application of Bank Saqu from Bank Jasa Jakarta ("Bank Saqu Application from Bank Jasa Jakarta"), a digital banking application of PT Bank Jasa Jakarta (individually or collectively referred to as "Bank" or "we").
We acknowledge the importance of the personal data you have entrusted to us, and therefore, we are committed to respecting and protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy ("Privacy Policy" or "Policy") explains the types of information or personal data we collect, how we collect and use such personal data, with whom we share it, and most importantly, how we safeguard and protect your personal data.
This Privacy Policy is formulated based on the applicable regulations related to the protection of personal data and confidentiality.
Personal data is information about an identified or identifiable individual, either directly or indirectly through electronic or non-electronic systems.
2. Types of personal data we collect
2.1 The personal data we collect, whether from you, third parties, and/or other publicly available sources, include:
- Your personal data and that of your family, referred parties, and/or other third parties;
- Specific personal data, such as biometric identification used for verification purposes, and sensitive personal data when conducting checks to comply with applicable laws and regulations to detect and prevent financial crimes.
2.2 When you provide personal data of another person to us, you warrant that you have obtained written consent from that person for the collection, use, and disclosure of their personal data, which will be used for one of the purposes outlined in clause 3 - Use of Your Personal Data, below. When personal data of other individuals mentioned above is obtained from third parties, you warrant that the said third party has obtained written consent from the individuals for the collection, use, and disclosure of their personal data.
2.3 You agree that you will indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims or liabilities in connection with the collection, use, and disclosure of any personal data we make based on the confirmation and warranties provided by you as stated in clause 2.2 above.
3. Use of Your Personal Data
3.1 We may use, process, analyze, transfer, and disclose your personal data for the following purposes:
- You using our products and services;
- Interacting and managing our relationship with you;
- Processing any transactions by you;
- Creating, offering, enhancing, and managing our products and services;
- Collecting and recovering money owed to us;
- Evaluating loans and obtaining or providing references for a loan;
- Carrying out our internal operational activities;
- Conducting risk management activities, including financial crime risk; and
- Other purposes that we will notify you of when obtaining consent from you, except for data processing that is permitted without your consent as allowed by applicable laws and regulations.
3.2 We may record and trace your interactions with us, including phone calls, electronic and non-electronic letters, face-to-face meetings, and/or other types or media of communication. We may use this information to check your instructions to us, assess, analyze, and improve our services, train our employees, manage risks, or for other purposes as mentioned in clause 3.1 above.
3.3 We may collect your photos, videos, or voice recordings through closed-circuit television (CCTV) inside and around our offices and self-service banking machines for security purposes and in authentication machines used to verify your identity.
3.4 We use "cookies" or other features from time to time to allow us or third parties to collect user information on our website, such as storing user preferences and recording session information or other information that will help us provide more personalized services to you. "Cookies" are small-sized text file (text) files that can be sent by a website to your browser that store certain information on your system. You can adjust the settings on your browser so that you receive notifications when you receive "cookies." You can disable "cookies" at any time by changing the settings on your browser. However, by disabling "cookies," you may not be able to use certain functions or access certain parts of our website.
3.5 We use specific personal data of yours to personalize marketing for our products and services according to your consent, so you will be informed about events and promotional offers of products and services that may be of interest to you.
4. Personal Data Shared with Third Parties
We may share your personal data with third parties, as follows:
4.1 We may share your personal data among our group companies, including companies within our shareholder group, including its branches, to open and manage your Digital Account with us; manage, develop, and enhance services and products; process your payments; understand and/or apply your preferences; conduct marketing activities; create and/or deliver management reports, including reports to the Board of Directors, Board of Commissioners, and internal Bank committees and/or reports required by law and meet other compliance requirements; and carry out other activities outlined in this Privacy Policy.
4.2 We may share your personal data with service providers, including but not limited to the following categories, which may be located in your country and/or in other countries:
- Co-branding partners;
- Infrastructure providers and information technology service providers;
- Marketing, advertising, and communication agents;
- External auditors, consultants, and other professional advisors;
- Persons acting on your behalf, beneficiaries, payees, intermediaries, correspondent banks, bank agents, designated account parties, stock exchanges, trade data repositories, clearing institutions, clearing systems, and settlements;
- Other financial institutions, fraud prevention agents, trade associations, credit bureaus and/or credit reference agents, and debt recovery agencies;
- Any intermediary merchants we instruct or refer to and from whom we receive referrals;
- Buyers or other successors in the event of mergers, divestitures, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or sale or other transfer of some or all of Bank's assets, either on an ongoing basis or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar processes, where personal data we hold about you is one of the transferred assets; or to counterparties in a business transaction involving Bank, its affiliates, or related companies; and
- Any third party we use to provide services to you.
We provide your personal data to service providers only the personal data necessary for them to perform their services. We will take reasonably necessary steps to ensure that your personal data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy as well as relevant data protection and confidentiality regulations
4.3 We may share your personal data with third parties authorized by law, used, and disclosed to comply with legal requirements and obligations, including for national and international law enforcement, government regulations or legal authorities, or to fulfill other obligations that must be fulfilled by us or the data recipients. This may include using information to help detect or prevent crimes, including but not limited to terrorism financing, money laundering, and other financial crimes, and for tax purposes.
4.4 We may transfer or convey your personal data to third parties in any country where its disclosure is required by law and/or where necessary to protect, enforce, and defend our rights or the rights of our employees and officers, subject to applicable laws and regulations.
4.5 You will use the services of PT Privy Identitas Digital, including but not limited to electronic certificate issuance services provided by PT Privy Identitas Digital.
- We collaborate with PT Privy Identitas Digital as a certified Electronic Signature Organizer and Electronic Certification Organizer under the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology of the Republic of Indonesia under the Privy brand.
- You declare your agreement to register as a Privy user to use PT Privy Identitas Digital services, including but not limited to electronic certificate issuance services by PT Privy Identitas Digital.
- You authorize us to forward your e-KTP data, selfie, mobile phone number (cell phone), and email address (email) to PT Privy Identitas Digital as registration data in order to comply with the Regulations, namely Government Regulation Number 71 of 2019 concerning the Implementation of Electronic Systems and Transactions, and Ministry of Communication and Information Technology Regulation Number 11 of 2018 concerning the Implementation of Electronic Certification.

5. Your Rights
5.1 You have rights based on this Privacy Policy, as follows:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we process about you;
- Rectification: You can correct your personal data yourself through the My Account page in the Bank Saqu Application from Bank Jasa Jakarta; or request us to correct your inaccurate personal data that we are processing;
- Opt-out of receiving marketing information: can be seen in the marketing messages you receive from us at any time on the Bank Saqu Application from Bank Jasa Jakarta.
Withdrawal of consent: You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. If you withdraw your consent and depending on the nature of your request, we may not be in a position to continue providing our products and services to you. - Withdrawal of consent may be considered as terminating a contract or any other bond by you, which may result in a breach and/or create an obligation.
You may submit and send written requests to use your rights to us through the communication channels listed in the "Contact Us" section below.
5.2 We may refuse requests where our confidential information or the privacy of others could be compromised or on other reasonable grounds, where permitted to do so by applicable laws and regulations.
6. How We Protect Your Personal Data
We implement various security measures to ensure that your personal data is under our supervision and control. These measures, including but not limited to restricting access to personal data provided only to authorized employees and service providers who need to know the data for the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy.
Although we make efforts to protect our systems, websites, operations, and information from unauthorized access, modification, and disclosure, we do not guarantee that any information, during transmission or storage in our systems, will be completely secure from the interference of other parties, such as hackers. This is because of the inherent nature of the internet as an open global communication tool and other risk factors.
By doing this, you release the Bank from responsibility, claims, and/or legal action and/or losses arising from the spread of your personal data caused by your errors and/or omissions in the use of electronic media and others, which are not part of the Bank's responsibility and obligations as regulated in this Privacy Policy, and as long as it does not conflict with applicable laws and regulations.
7. Retention Period of Your Personal Data
We will keep your personal data for as long as necessary according to the purposes of its collection, to comply with applicable laws and regulations, or where we may need it for legitimate purposes, such as protecting or enforcing our rights, combating fraud and financial crimes, and handling any disputes or issues that may arise. When we no longer need your personal data, we will delete it from our systems and records and/or take steps to anonymize it so that you can no longer be identified from the data.
