Bogor, 24 July 2023 - Bank Jasa Jakarta, together with Astra Financial as the financial services division of PT Astra International Tbk and its 14 business units, has organized the "Tanam Pohon Bersama Astra Financial'' event at the Ciliwung River Headwaters, Bogor, West Java.
This activity is an initiative by Astra Financial aimed at contributing to create a sustainable environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the air. As part of our commitment to environmental sustainability, Bank Jasa Jakarta continues to strive in realizing its commitment and participating in conservation efforts to preserve the diversity of ecosystems and the continuity of nature for future generations.
Suparno Djasmin, the Director in Charge of Astra Financial, stated, "Aligned with Astra's vision, 'Sejahtera Bersama Bangsa,' in addition to conducting financial services, Astra Financial also engages in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities based on four pillars: Health, Education, Environment, and Entrepreneurship. Our hope is that this initiative will make a specific contribution to the environmental and entrepreneurial aspects of the communities around the Cibulao area, Bogor."

During this event, the entire Astra Financial Group planted 6,600 trees, including Manglid, Bamboo, Jackfruit, and Coffee plants. This activity is expected to aid in the revitalization of the Ciliwung River and support the economic development of the Cibulao Forest Farmers Group (Kelompok Tani Hutan - KTH) through coffee seedling planting.
Astra Financial collaborated with Jejakin, Perhutani, and the Cibulao Forest Farmers Group (KTH) for this event. In the future, there will be continuous monitoring of the planted trees at this location to support carbon sequestration in line with Indonesia's Nature Based Solution program.
